Here we are in our new outfits which we plan to wear at Carrie and Kurt's wedding next Saturday in Portland. We can hardly wait to see them and the many friends and family members who will attend the big event.

The summer monsoon has arrived. After nine months with less than a half inch of rain, the monsoon arrived in the last days of June and in two weeks, we have received more than 2 inches of rain and temperatures back in the 80s. My kind of weather.

The day before Nora Jane was blessed, Mike and I went with a friend and relative, Michael Rowberry for a morning of fishing at Strawberry Reservoir. The trip turned out to be an epic fishing experience as the three of us caught 72 fish, mostly cutthroat trout which we released, all between 14 and 22 inches in length. That made for a hookup about every five minutes while we were out. The fish even kept biting at midday as we were trolling on our way back to the dock. Michael Rowbury is holding an example fish in the picture.

July 2 was the first big event for Nora Jane, daughter of Michael and Jenny, born on May 31. On this first Sunday in July, she was blessed with many relatives in attendance. Here she is with her mom and dad and Sadie, the family cat.
