Monsoon season in New Mexico is done, but its gift to the land in the form of a late-summer wildflower bloom is becoming evident in many places. These are small sunflowers which are blooming throughout the Santa Fe valley. This is a pleasant surprise which supplants the non-existant wildflower season last spring which was a casualty of the winter drought.
